I found the bar, hotel reception (and toilets/bathrooms) to be disappointing - black and soul-less! Not a cosy bar as I tend to like. Furthermore the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom was a big negative - €4.50 for a cup of tea! I won't be going back! The views from the Hotel very disappointing. Overall an over-rated hotel with far superior accomodation available in other hotels for the same price and possibly cheaper. If budget isn't an issue then it is hard to beat the Sheraton for location, quality and overall presentation. If Budget is an issue then the Spanish Arch Hotel or Jury's Inn are worth looking at!

We stayed at the G Hotel for 2 nights in early July. The weather in Galway was foul for the entire trip but this didn't dampen our enthusiasm for with Galway or the uniquely and eclecticy appointed G Hotel. The only drawback - especially given the rain - is that it's a little distance from the city centre. However, taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced and there is also a very regulatr local bus service that passes the hotel and takes about 5-7 minutes to get to Eyre Square. Very enjoyable. We will be back.

With a decor that would fit well in Disneyland or Las Vegas, the G hotel is whimsical and certainly not a touch of traditional Ireland. But the rooms are superb, service is delightful, amenities abound, and the location is within a 20 minute walk of all the activity in central Galway. The G is a worthy destination and a great value on its own.

everything was great. 24 hr fitness center has everything you could want yet it is small and clean. all equipment is state of the art and has a tv on each piece of equipment. The Hotel staff was very very helpful and totally professional in everything that they did. Wireless access from my room was not good so they brought me a cord to hook up immediately when I mentioned this to the staff. Food is excellent. It is the best hotel in Galway and I would definitely stay there again. A great deal for the money. I stayed at another Galway hotel that cost more money and did not have hardly any of the ammenities as the G.

High end fancy hotel with excellent service. We got a soiled towel, but when we called the front desk, the manager came immediately, apologized and offered remedies. We said we only want to point it out to them, but they sent us champagne during their very nice breakfast included with the room. Rooms are nice, but if you are facing the back, keep curtains close so the fantasy of the room is not spoiled the veiw of a shopping malls back parking lot.

This hotel was a let down from the moment we arrived. The quirky feel just didnt work. Staff tried too hard to be make you feel important that it became awkward. Entrance from parking area resembled a service access. The room had a few things that wouldnt look out of place in the 70's and thats not the good 70's. A tatty shell shaped pillow on the bed and a plastic see through table gave the room a cheap feel. This is without mentioning the stained white carpet, scraggy bed base, tried bath mat and beat up t,v stand. I decided to spend two nights as to avail of the sauna & steam etc. only to find out that this costs an extra whopping 30 Euros. Everything in the room came with a lable on it to warn you if you took the item from the room you would be charged a penelty (40 euros for a laundry bag!!) I was affraid to order a drink or food encase i had to sell an organ to pay for it. All in all i would not recommend this hotel.

My wife and I had business in Galway and stayed in a Delux room at the G. The room was excellent - up to 5* standard. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night - very poor atmosphere in the restaurant and the food was mediocre. Definitely it's worth seeking out one of the better restaurants in Galway which we did on the second night when we went to Ard Bia Nimmos. Service in the G was quite good and friendly although our room had not been cleaned by 3 pm after our first night. Overall, we enjoyed the stay but would be unlikely to stay again as we found the location to be a bit too far from the city centre.

The G Hotel is beautifully designed and in a great location overlooking the Bay. We felt the welcome on arrival was super 1st class. We loved the design of the hotel and it was nice to see all of Philip Treacy's signature hate designs incorporated. The colours were great too, very relaxing. Super shower & a Zen feeling to the hotel. We did feel that the carpet near the reception leading to what we called "the Ice-room" as done up for Xmas was a little grubby and needs more attention, sweeping etc. This room was very calming but the seating area near fireplaces is freezing. Lit fires needed or more closed up chimneys. we had to move seats when available as very chilly. As a busy w/e, the staff were overpowered for drink service on Saturday night & this needs to be addressed. Breakfast was super. Be there early as queues form at about 10.30am.Also book spa before you arrive as booked out for w/e. Overall, very happy though & would recommend it.

First impressions briiliant and were consistent throughout our stay! The concierge on reception were very professional and couldn't do enough for you. All the small touches like the personalised greeting card in our room and cakes really made the difference. Not a cheap night but well worth it. The evening meal was a little disappointing; the monk fish was too well done and a little tough. Even with this, it did not really take away from the whole experience. The breakfast which was included in our overall price was to die for! I strongly recommend the full Irish and the Continental buffet which had everything from fresh fruit, omlettes, yoghurts and very tasty pastries. One night was'nt enough¬
