Isolated at one end of the resort is an adults-only area with an 11-m (35-ft) freeform pool, a sundeck, and a lawn with lounge chairs and hammocks under coconut palms. The pools, lazy river, and spa tub (but not water slides) are open around the clock.

This was our first stay at an all-inclusive. Above all, the people at the resort were overly friendly and accomodating. This was also our first visit to St. Lucia and the people at the resort gave a a great first impression. The buffet food was good. However, having 2 additional restaurants was an unexpected pleasure and the food at both was quite good while the service was even better. There isn't much else on this end of the island, so I'd recommend some day trips, especially to see the Pitons.

The hotel was great, but the food--was mediocre at best. It is a nice concept the all-inclusive package. However, the food needs improvement. Great service, good ambiance, and fantastic location.

The hotel was very kids friendly. It had many wonderful things for children to do. But it was also very adult friendly too. The activity coordinators were great and the children had a wonderful time. The food was good too. I would definitely recommend it for a family vacation.

On paper, Coconut Bay has everything - a spa, all inclusive, rooms, location, however the ad and reality are very misleading and not at all what we expected. The ideas are great, but the execution was horrible. The food was not good and the fruit was hardly ever ripe. The eating room felt like a high school cafeteria rather than a resort. We did like the open air lobby and the food at the Grill was pretty good. The bar service was slow (even worse than Caribbean time) and all the drinks were of low grade alcohol - headache city. I am still de-toxing from the trip. The location was at least an hour from any snorkeling or scuba up windy roads and at least 45 min from any excursion, also on windy roads. The rooms were just bad, as the shower was hot, then cold, then hot, then cold again. The beds were very hard and it felt like you were living in a trailer. For the price these rooms should be upgraded. The spa was over priced and the treatments were not that great with therapists who had rough hands. We were finally able to argue a for $200 worth of spa treatments based on an ad we brought in from Travel + Leisure, however they didn't want to honor it at first. Poor execution.

Stunning location and great facilities. I was here on my own and it was a lovely start to my holiday - safe, a variety of facilities and a great spa. The pools are lovely and the ocean front views are fantastic. It was quite busy with children (and this was out of season) so I guess it is more of a family hotel than a romantic getaway. Not so much a peaceful hotel, but safe and very clean. In busier times there are excursions from the hotel, but not always available out of season.
